Korruption als systemischer Defekt im östlichen Europa
(Übung)

Dienstag, 14.00 - 16.00, Wissenschaftszentrum Ost- und Südosteuropa, Landshuterstr. 4, 93047 Regensburg, Raum 017.

Der Corruption Perception Index 2013 weist die der osteuropäischen EU-Staaten als relativ bis stark korruptionsanfällig aus, und auch der World Governance Indicator der Weltbank zeigt, dass die Korruptionsbekämpfung im östlichen Europa verbesserungswürdig bleibt bzw. sogar Rückschläge erfahren hat. In der Übung soll anhand ausgewählter Indizes die Korruption in einigen ostmittel- und südosteuropäischen Staaten hinterfragt werden. Weiterhin soll anhand von Beispielen untersucht werden, wie sich Korruption auf die Demokratie und ihre Funktionslogik auswirkt. Besonderes Augenmerk wird dabei der administrativen Korruption geschenkt.

Kenntnisse osteuropäischer Sprachen sind von Vorteil, aber keine Teilnahmevoraussetzung.
